Pre-Departure & Post-Arrival Support
Pre-departure briefing for Indian students going abroad. Forex, accommodation, banking, SIM cards, first-week checklists. Post-arrival support from Intellect Globe.
The visa is stamped, the flight is booked, the offer letter is in the bag — and that's when most consultancies disappear. Not us. Our relationship with your family doesn't end when you board the plane. We brief you on everything from forex strategy to first-week settling, then check in for the first 90 days after arrival.
Pre-departure briefing (3-hour session)
Held in our Sector 67 office or online, 1–2 weeks before your flight:
- Forex strategy — when to buy, how much to take in cash vs forex card, multi-currency cards (Niyo, Hop Remit, BookMyForex, ICICI ForexPlus). Currency-specific tips.
- Accommodation — university housing vs private rentals; how to spot scams; first-week temporary stay options (Airbnb, hostels, university guest rooms).
- Banking — opening a local bank account in the destination country; remittance from India (Wise, Western Union, RemitNow, Niyo).
- SIM cards & connectivity — getting a local SIM on day 1, esim options that work the moment you land, comparing local plans.
- Insurance — university-mandated insurance (OSHC in Australia, GHIP in Canada, NHS in UK) vs private; what's covered, what's not.
- Documents to carry — original transcripts, attestations (apostille / WES / ENIC-NARIC), I-20 / CAS / CoE, passport with visa, financial proofs.
- Cultural orientation — country-specific expectations (tipping in US, queueing in UK, drinking water culture in Germany, etc.).
- Money management — how to live on a student budget; meal planning; transport passes; second-hand textbook strategies.

What ongoing support looks like

- Day-90 check-in — broader review: are you happy with the program? part-time work? friend group? mental health?
- 24/7 crisis line — if something goes wrong (medical emergency, accommodation issue, academic crisis, family emergency back home), our team is one WhatsApp away.
